Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce discharge current by installing a resistor between a terminal pin contact conductor and a spark gap which is connected to a ground terminal. CONSTITUTION:A socket is configured by impedding in an insulating substrate 12, a terminal pin contact conductor 8 which is connected to the terminal pin 7 of a cathode-ray tube 1, ground terminal 11, and contact conductor 9. A spark gap 10 is connected between a contact conductor 9 and the ground terminal 11, and a resistor 13 is installed between the terminal pin contact conductor 8 and contact conductor 9. This can remarkably reduce the peak value of discharge current and prevent an electron circuit from being damaged.
