Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover the low temperature liquid gas exhausted by purging in purging the gas remained in the low temperature liquid gas tank, by utilizing the existing gas reliquifying apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The low temperature liquid gas in a tanker 1 is unloaded to a storage tank 17 through a conduit 15. In the case the remaining gas is purged after the unloading, puring nitrogen gas is blown into the tanker 1 from a storage tank 26 through a vaporizer 27, a conduit 24, and a pipe 11, and the substitution is sequentially taken place from the top. The exhausted gas flows into a reliquifying apparatus 3 through pipe 10, conduit 14, and an inlet port 7. The gas is reliquified and sent to a gas layer part in the storage tank 17 through a reverser 6, an outlet port 9, and the conduit 15. Thus, the low temperature liquid gas can be effectively recovered. The reliquifying apparatus 3 is an existing apparatus for storage and transportation, and new additional investment is not specifically required except the modification of the part of the piping system.
