Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Amides shown by the formula I (X is halogen; Y is halogen, group shown by the formula II or III; R1 and R2 are the same 1W6C alkyl, or aryl, or R1, R2, and N form piperidine ring) and their salts.
EXAMPLE: α-Bromo-N,N-diallyl-p-chlorophenoxyacetamide.
USE: An agricultural and gardening fungicide. A herbicide. Extremely effective against blast of rice plant, various kinds of powdery mildew, rust, etc. Having improved controlling effects on annual or perennial weeds occurring in plowed fields, paddy fields, fruit gardens, etc.
PROCESS: For example, a compound shown by the formula IV is reacted with a compound shown by the formula V, to give a compound shown by the formula I (X is halogen). If necessary, the compound shown by the formula I is reacted with imidazole or triazole to give a compound shown by the formula I (X is group shown by the formula II or III).
