Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition forming a blocked polymer by curing, providing an elastomer having improved tensile strength, tear resistance, wear resistance, etc., by using both specific two kinds of prepolymers having isocyanate groups and a low-molecular weight crosslinking agent of active hydrogen.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A liquid chloroprene type prepolymer having two or more isocyanate groups in a molecule and a number-average molecular weight 500W 10,000, for example, prepared by reacting a liquid copolymer of chloroprene and a hydroxyl group-containing monomer shown by the formula (R is 1W3C hydrocarbon; n is 1 or 2) with a polyisocyanate compound, e.g., hexamethylene diisocyanate, etc. is blended with (B) a polyether type prepolymer prepared by reacting a polyehter polyol, e.g., polyethylene glycol, etc. with a polyisocyanate in a weight ratio of 15/85W85/15, and the blend is mixed with (C) a low-molecular weight crosslinking agent to active hydrogen, e.g., p-phenylenediamine, etc., to give the desired composition.
