Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of blade member by covering the flexible blade surface of the vane of the vertical-shaft type windmill with a heat-shrinkable film.
CONSTITUTION: The flexible blade surface of the vane 7 of the certical-shaft type windmill is formed with the heat-shrinkable film 16 stretched thereon and this film 16 is made to shrink by heating. Since the flexible blade surface of the vane 7 is to have initial tensile force and is made free from slack by this constitution, the fluttering of the blade surface of the vane and, consequently, the damage of the blade member can be prevented.
