Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the state of emulsion of fuel supplied to a boiler and the like and thereby improve the burning quality of the fuel by agitating the emulsified fuel constantly and uniformly in a storage tank.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel in a heavy-oil storage tank 4 is introduced into an emulsifying tank 8 together with an additive from an emulsifier-adding part 10 and is stirred by a mixer 12. The tank 8 is provided with outside circulating circuits 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18, whereby emulsification is expedited. The emulsified fuel is stored in a storage tank 17. This tank 17 is also provided with outside circulating circuits 20, 21, 22 and 23 having a mixer 23 and by these units the emulsification is maintained. And, at the time of operation of the boiler 3, the fuel is supplied through the intermediary of a feeding pipe 2 having a heating device 26, while at the time of the stoppage thereof the fuel in the pipe 2 is returned into the tank 17 by switching a switching valve 28.
