Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify demagnetization work and heighten a demagnetization effect, by providing connectors on both the ends of a cable made of a plurality of electric wires bundled together and by connecting the wires in series with each other that the cable constitutes a coil. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed number of electric wires of predetermined length are bundled together to prepare a cable 10. Male and female connectors 11, 12, each of which has a number of terminals corresponding to that of the electric wires, are coupled to both the ends of the cable. When both the kinds of the connectors are coupled to each other, a coil with a number of turns equal to that of the electric wires is constituted. The cable 10 for demagnetization has such length that the connectors 11, 12 can be coupled to each other outside a magnetically shielded chamber when the cable is laid through the perforated holes of the opposed shielding walls of the chamber. The cable is wound along the shielding walls. Power is supplied through lead wires 13, 14. According to this method, demagnetization work is simplified.
