Abstract

PURPOSE: To convey a work intermittently at a fixed pitch with an intermittently conveying apparatus which is designed to accomplish a rapid speed adjusting- stopping control based on any speed adjusting characteristics being preset.
CONSTITUTION: A work W is positioned and placed on a platen 11 by way of an attachment 4. A motor 17 is started while a clutch brake unit 18 is turned on and connected to an index unit 19 to be driven. This converts the angle of turning during the rotation to a speed adjusting characteristic set at the speed adjusting area and the rotation stopping area as indicated by a mark V in the drawing B. The output shaft 19' is rotated and the rotary motion is turned to a straight motion through a ball screw section 37 of a main shaft 36 and a ball 41 and transmitted to a platen 13 through a ball holder 40. Thus, a platen 13 moves along guide rails 11 and 12 and the work W being placed is halted at the rotation stopping area to be machine worked.
