Abstract
PURPOSE:To apparently improve the sharpness of a display picture without changing a signal format, by giving a periodical speed modulation having an appropriate amplitude, to a horizontal deflecting circuit, and making a CRT display surface have a dot sampling effect. CONSTITUTION:A vertical pulse and a horizontal pulse are generated by the synchronizing circuit 3 in the same way as TV, are provided to the vertical deflecting circuit 4 and the horizontal deflecting circuit 5, and also a clock pulse 31 to be provided to the auxiliary deflecting circuit 6 is generated. This pulse 31 is made frequency fs which is higher than the maximum frequency fm of a video signal, and also its phase is locked to horizontal scanning. The auxiliary deflecting circuit 6 receives the pulse 31, generates an auxiliary deflecting current 61 having a saw tooth waveform which is equal to its period Ts, superposes this deflecting current 61 onto a horizontal deflecting current which has been generated by the deflecting circuit 5, and provides it to the deflecting yoke 7.
