Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect immunochemically with high sensitivity a lysergic acid derivative contained in an unknown sample, by using a specific dihydroergometrine hemisuccinate-protein conjugate.
CONSTITUTION: A dihydroergometrine hemisuccinate-protein conjugate having the formula (I), wherein P is a protein, such as serum albumin of a mammal, γ- globulin and ovalbumin, is administered as an antigen to an animal to obtain an antiserum. The antiserum is subjected to measurement with a radioimmunoassay to detect a lysergic acid derivative.
