Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently masticate a natural rubber or a diene rubber, by using a mastication accelerator obtd. by compounding a thiol, a metal-contg. org. compound (an activator) and a specified alkyl carboxylic acid.
CONSTITUTION: 5W70wt% of at least one cpd. from a thiol, a thiol zinc salt, and a disulfide, 0.05W5wt% of at least one compound from a metal chelate compound (salt) of an alkyl (aryl) substd. dioxime deriv., a methal-contg. compound of an acetone deriv. having an alkyl (aryl)-substd. carboxyl group and a metal phthalocyanine (a chlorine or nitro deriv.) and 25W94.95wt% 6W32C alkyl carboxylic acid (e.g., caprylic or stearic acid) are compounded, to obtain a mastication accelerator. About 0.01W5pts.wt. said accelerator are used for 100pts.wt. raw rubber (at a temp. of masticatio of about 60W200°C).
