Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A fuel cam 3B formed around a cam-shaft 2 drives a fuel pump not shown in the figure via a fuel tappet 11. The center of the axis of said tappet 11 is arranged to hold appropriate slant with respect to a center line C of the cylinder. And said cam-shaft 2 is arranged close to a big end 12A of the lower portion of a connecting rod 12 connected to a piston so that a top circle Tc of said cam and a trajectory R of said big end 12A share an overlapping portion A to the extent where no mutual interference occurs.
