Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an output decrease of power due to the mixing of alcohol in an engine with a supercharger using mixed fuel of alcohol, by increasing relief pressure of a relief valve provided in an intake passage for the concentration of alcohol not less than a prescribed value.
CONSTITUTION: A blower 6 and turbine 5 of a turbosupercharger 4 are provided in the half way of an intake passage 2 and exhaust passage 3 of an engine main body 1. Further in the half way of the intake passage 2 a relief valve 10 is provided to relieve the intake passage 2 to the atmosphere when supercharging pressure becomes not less than a prescribed value. While an alcohol concentration sensor 11 is provided to detect the concentration of alcohol in the mixed fuel of alcohol and gasoline permitting the correction of relief pressure by a correcting device 12 in accordance with the concentration of alcohol. And if the concentration of alcohol becomes not less than a prescribed level, the relief pressure of the relief valve 10 is increased.
