Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the equipment by giving a dc winding of a saturable current transformer connected to an output circuit of a synchronous generator an output from a saturable reactor connected to an intermediate tap of an armature winding by way of a rectifier. CONSTITUTION:A field coil 24 is fed with a series winding excited current from a saturable current transformer 18 connected to an output circuit 17 of a synchronous generator 13 and a shunt winding excited current from a 3-phase reactor 22 by way of a rectifier 3. An output from a saturable reactor 16 connected to an intermediate tap 15 in an armature winding 14 is given to a DC winding 19 of the saturable current transformer 18 by way of a rectifier 20 and a damper winding 21. This enbles feeding of voltage corresponding to a generator voltage wihtout use of any transformer for the saturable reactor thereby miniaturizing an engine driving AC generator.
