Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit a highly accurate flow rate measurement over a side range by a method wherein the signals, which are obtained by multiplying the respective outputs of a plurality of differential pressure type flow rate transmitters having different measuring ranges from each other and respective weight coeffcients, and the outputs of a group of standard signal generators are compared with each other to select and add together. CONSTITUTION:The outputs, which are obtained by multiplying the outputs of a plurality of differential pressure type flow rate transmitters DPT having different measuring range from each other and weight coefficients corresponding to respective signal ranges, and the outputs of standard signal generators SG are compared with each other to select in high-signal selectors HS and low-signal selectors LS. The outputs thereof are added in an adder ADD1, and the sum of the standard signals obtained in an adder ADD2 is subtracted therefrom in a subtractor SUB to a obtain the flow rate signal over the whole ranges. Thereby, the flow rate transmitters are automatically selected to use for respective measuring ranges in an analog operation manner. Accordingly, a highly accurate flow rate measurement can be performed over the whole ranges by using a comparatively simple apparatus.
