Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the water making efficiency, by installing a liquid reservoir in order to utilize it for preventing the outward leakage of high-temperature and high- humidity air, in the water making apparatus for obtaining water from the moisture of gas.
CONSTITUTION: In the absorption process, the moisture contained in the atmospheric air is absorbed by the absorbent layer held in the absorbing and dehydrating column; next, in the dehydration proces, heat is given to the absorbent layer which thereby releases the absorbed moisture as steam; then, the high-temperature and high-humidity air passed through the absorbing and dehydrating column is cooled to condense the moisture, and the water is obtained in the liquid state. In the dehydration process, the blower 3 is driven to turn around in order to recycle the high-tempraure and high-humidity air; in this blower 3, the driving shaft 15 is separated into two parts 15a, 15b, and an airtight partition 30 provided with a liquid reservoir 28 is installed between two parts 15a and 15b of the driving shaft 15. As a result, the outward leakage of high temperature and high-humidity air from the gap between the driven side driving shaft 15b directly connected to the blower's impeller 13 and the blind cover 18 is intercepted by the airtight partition 30 and the liquid reservoir 28; hereby, the outward air leakage becomes nil.
