Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve measurement accuracy and maintenance characteristic by providing air nozzles near the transmitter and receiver of a sensor part and blowing air at every fixed time interval thereby cleaning them in sewage treatment. CONSTITUTION:Air nozzles 8, 9 are provided in proximity to opposed transmitter 5 and receiver 6. Both nozzles 8, 9 are connected by means of a piping 12 via, for example, a solenoid valve 11. A timer 13 is connected to the valve 11. Hence, when the timer 13 times up, the valve 11 opens, and the air from a cylinder 10 is blown from the nozzles 8, 9 through the piping 12, thereby removing the slime of the transmitter 5 and the receiver 6 and cleaning them.
