Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a temperature rise in the case when flow rate lowers or a fan is completely cut off by a method wherein temperature close to a discharging section of the fan is detected, and a communicating hole communicating an internal passage of the fan and the outside of a casing is opened when the temperature reaches a fixed temperature or higher.
CONSTITUTION: A fan is provided with a bimetal 15, which detects temperature close to a discharging section 5 of the fan of a casing 3, and a valve body 17 opening a communicating port 16 communicating an internal passage of the fan and the outside of the casing 3 in response to deformation due to the temperature of the bimetal 15 - that is, when the temperature reaches a fixed temperature or higher. A location where the outside air is sucked in from the communicating port 16 and the fan is cooled is also formed to a section, exhaust temperature thereof is maximum, near to the discharging port 5 of the internal passage of the fan. Thus, an effect cooled by external cold is improved. According to such constitution, a temperature rise can be prevented by introducing cold from the outside when flow rate lowers or the fan is completely cut off.
