Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a cut sheet stand to elevate effectively with the minimum power of necessity, by adopting a construction to increase the rate of vertical displacement of the stand in proportion to the height of the position of the stand.
CONSTITUTION: A cut sheet stand 1 is vertically moved in response to the slide of a guide member 9 of a rail 10. A cylindrical cam 17 is arranged as a drive-transmission means. As the cylindrical cam 17 is rotated in the direction shown with an illustrated arrow by the rotation of a geared motor 20, a cam follower 19 is raised along a cam groove 18, and the guide member 9 and the stand 1 is elevated. In this construction, the cam groove 18 on the cylindrical cam 17 is shaped to have the minimum inclination near the lowermost position A of the stand 1, intermediate inclination increasing near a position B as the elevation proceeds, and the maximum inclination at the uppermost position C. Consequently, at the position A with a great amount of sheets, a great elevating force is given in spite of a small amount of elevating displacement. On the contrary, at the position C, the elevating force is small in spite of a great amount of the displacement.
