Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform aligning work of a conveyed object, by providing a pair of left and right free tables and pusher plates, having bearing mounts on their top part, on a base mount in a hanging conveyance line, simultaneously approximating the pusher plates and adapting them to sides of mounted parts of the object.

CONSTITUTION: Prior to aligning work, the first cylinder 31 in an aligning device 7 is extended to shift one sliding plate 28A to the outside simultaneously its shifting force is transmitted to the other sliding plate 28B through a rack 33A, pinion 35 and rack 33B to also shift the plate 28B to the outside by an equal amount. This shifting motion adapts pins 49A, 49B to stopper elements 24A, 24B, then free tables 22A, 22B are simultaneously shifted to a side preceding to be adapted, thus bearing mounts 23A, 23B are automatically corrected to a position at an equal distance from a hanging conveyance line 1. Under this condition, a conveyed object is placed on the aligning device 7 through a hanging device, then the first cylinder 31 is contracted to perform aligning work for the conveyed object with adaptation of pusher plates 29A, 29B to the sides of mounted parts 16A, 16B.
