Abstract
PURPOSE: To continuously carry out efficient dehydration by a method wherein a porous cylinder having a filter provided under tension to an inner surface thereof is formed into a funnel like shape as well as a screw is assembled in the cylinder so as to contact a peripheral edge of said screw and the filter and a sludge is extruded while said sludge is compressed and dehydrated by said screw.
CONSTITUTION: To an inner periphery of the funnel like cylinder 3 which has an upper end closed by a top wall 1 and is equipped with a discharging port cylinder 2 provided to a lower end thereof and plural permeation pore 4 provided to an entire periphery thereof, the filter 5 is provided under tension. Further, the screw 6 is assembled between an upper and a lower parts of the cylinder 3 so as to contact a peripheral edge thereof with the filter 5 and an inflow port cylinder 7 of a liquid to be treated is provided to the top wall 1. When the liquid to be treated containing a soludge is supplied from the inflow port cylinder 7, a moisture of the treated liquid is discharged from the filter 5 through the permeating pores 4 as well as the sludge is adhered to a surface of the filter 5. The adhered sludge is sent downwardly to a lower direction while scraped off by the screw 6 but a space between an upper and a lower wings of the screw 6 becomes smaller succeedingly and, because the sludge is pressurized when sent downwardly, the dehydration is promoted.
