Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the effective diffusion angle in the direction parallel to the rolling direction and provide superior characteristics as a reflection surface by imparting the fine ruggedness to a commercially marketed rolled aluminum sheet roughly at a right angle to the rolling direction. CONSTITUTION:Fine rolling flaws exist in a commercially marketed rolled aluminum sheet in its rolling direction, and in this state, the effective diffusion angle in the direction parallel to the rolling direction is narrow and this state is inadequate as a reflection surface for reflection type screens. Thereupon, fine ruggedness is given thereto roughly at right angles to the rolling direction. Further, it is equally well to impart fine ruggedness also to the direction parallel with the rolling direction. The characteristic of the ruggedness is 0.5-5mum depth, more preferably 1- 3mum, and about 10-1,000 pieces per cm. The ruggedness may be given easily by brushing. If the surface is chemically or electrochemically polished after having been rugged, the reflectance improves considerably.
