Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent forming of an undesired longitudinal recess on the inside surface of an anode cylinder and to simplify the production process by forming a cylinder so that a cut material is rounded to make cut burrs of both edges head inward and touch each other. CONSTITUTION:A long plate material 11 of a metal such as Cu or Al is cut into a desired length from one side with a cutting machine to form a strip 12. Burrs 14 are formed on both ends of the strip 12. Then the strip is rounded so that the burrs 14 touch each other projecting toward inside to form a cylinder. The edges are jointed airtightly by electron beam weldering or arc weldering from the inside as the arrow B shows. Thus, the burrer are reduced in hight and the inside surface of the cylinder is smoothed, and the forming of an undesired longitudinal recess on the inside surface of a cylinder is prevented and the production process can be simplified.
