Abstract

PURPOSE:To synthesize single copying image efficiently and to make possible easy copying of only the required part from a large-sized original image by providing an image forming device which successively superposes the images of plural originals on an original platen successively on a single photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:An original platen 11 consists of the 1st part 11a to be placed with the 1st original, and the 2nd part 11b to be placed with the 2nd original. Voltage is applied to a transfer charger 22 and a destaticizing charger 23, respectively, and a separating pawl 24, and the cleaning blade 27 of a cleaning device 26 are put in sliding contact with a photoreceptor 12. The toner image synthesized from the 1st original image and the 2nd original image is transferred onto copying paper. With such constitution, ordinary copying is performed, and the copy of only the required part is easily obtained from the large-sized original by controlling an exposure device and paper feed timing.
