Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by forming at least one conductor layer for magnetic domain driving having a magnetic-domain transfer pattern consisting of at least two magnetic-domain transfer blocks on a bubble magnetic domain material, by insulating those two blocks mutually, and by providing a semicircle of rectangular pit. CONSTITUTION:Boundaries of conductor layers 31 and 31' of the 1st and 2nd transfer blocks constituting a minor transfer loop and major transfer loop face to each other across insulating gap 51. At the boundary end part, semicircle (or rectangular) recess parts 50 are provided facing to each other. Similarly, the 2nd conductor layers 32 and 32' face to each other across insulating gap 52. When a bubble is at position 1A', supplying conductor layers 31 and 32 with current pulses in directions J1A-J4A successively transfers the bubble along hole pattern 30 to 4A'. Feeding current J1A moves it to 1A and intercepting current J2A moves the bubble to 2A; when J2B is fed to 32' and then cut off, the bubble moves to 3B and is then transferred similarly. Consequently, the power consumption can be reduced.
