Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the mechanical vibration of an electromechanical transducer by comparing the terminal voltage of a capacitor having the same capacity as the inter-electrode capacity of the transducer with the inter-electrode voltage of the transducer and then by negatively feeding their differential voltage back to a driving voltage generator. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of driving voltage generator 100 is applied between the electrodes of piezoelectric element 1, provided with video head 2 of an auto tracking device, via resistance R and also applied to capacitor 6, having nearly the same capacity as the inter-electrode capacity of piezoelectric element 1, via resistance R1. Then, the differential voltage between the inter-electrode voltage and the terminal voltage of capacitor 6 is found by operational amplifier 11 and negatively fed back to adder 15 of driving voltage generator 100 by way of phase shifter 18. Thus, the simple constitution can prevent effectively ringing at the mechanical resonance frequency of head 2 and traces on video tracks by head 2 can be performed accurately.
