Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove the impurities etc. in a recovered toner by providing a bias applying means which forms the electric field between the 1st and 2nd rotating members. CONSTITUTION:When the toner conveyed from the cleaning side by a conveyor 3 is fed into a relay part 2, it is attracted onto the surface of the 1st rotating member 4 by its magnetic force. When this attracted toner arrives at the position opposing to the 2nd rotating member 6, only the toner having sufficient electric charge amount is transferred to the rotating member 6 by the bias means 7 provided between the members 4 and 6. Migration of the impurities in the toner or of the deteriorated toner to the rotating member 6 does not occur. Next, the toner attracted to the rotating member 6 is scraped off and is fed into the conveyor 3. In this way, the impurities etc. contained in the recovered toner are removed.
