CONSTITUTION: A mixture for reaction contg. silica, preferably colloidal silica, alumina, preferably sodium aluminate, an alkali metal, preferably Na and a cyclic ether such as dioxane or THF is heated at about 100W160°C in a hermetically sealed container for about 5 hours W 30 days to synthesize 10-membered oxygen-contg. ring type zeolite, Said mixture has SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of 1W200, H2O/OH- ratio of 10W300, OH-/SiO2 ratio of 0.1W2 and cyclic ether/Al2O3 ratio of 1W100.
