Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled soil stabilizer which makes continuous work possible to obtain improved wall-like ground from soft ground, by blending zinc oxide with a mixet. of cement and lime in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: 0.01W5pts.wt. zinc oxide (C) is blended with 100pts.wt. mixt. consisting of 100pts.wt. cement (A) such as Portland cement and 0.01W11pts.wt. lime (B) such as quick lime to obtain a soil stabilizer. If desired, further 5W 30pts.wt. gypsum such as anhydrous gypsum may be added to 100pts.wt. above soil stabilizer. The period of inhibiting the hardening of the above delayed-hardening soil stabilizer can arbitrarily be adjusted by controlling the amount of zinc oxide to be added. The soil stabilizer is suited to use for soil composed mainly of illite clay minerals.
