Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an overload by suppressing the changes in the filament current and the tube voltage if the tube current value predetermined by an arithmetic circuit exceeds the allowable the rating of a memory tube, when the filament current corresponding to the existing tube voltage and tube current is automatically set. CONSTITUTION:By changing the filament current, voltage or power (generally called If) and tube voltage (KV) through IF and KV stepping counters 5 and 6 and control circuits 4 and 3, X-rays are exposed. In this case, by actually measuring (2) the tube current, the emission characteristics of an X-ray tube 1 are stored (8). By reading the subsequent predetermined tube current and the If corresponding to the KV, the characteristics are determined. The allowable rated value of the X-ray tube which was prestored in memory 8' is operated by an arithmetic circuit 7 based on the stored (8) emission characteristics. If the subsequent expected tube current value exceeds the rated value, the changes in the If and KV shall be suppressed in order to prevent any overload when the If is automatically set.
