Abstract

PURPOSE:To make easy the solidification and integration of a circuit, by reading out the information signals obtained at each photoelectric conversion element in parallel, and sequentially transferring them in series. CONSTITUTION:The information signal obtained at each photoelectric conversion element PE with a photo input is given to the gate VG of each switching thin film transistor SW for transferring and also to the source/drain of the thin film transistor BD constituting the transfer BBD at the same time. The signal input to the source/ drain is sequentially fed to the transfer gate of this thin film transistor with the voltage applied for output. That is a voltage is alternately fed to phi1, phi2, and the signal of each photoelectric conversion element is picked up at Vout in time sequence. This operation is repetitively executed.
