Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a loss over a wide range by setting the in-use frequency region of a frequency-selective surface higher than the region where the operation of an inductance is obtained equivalently and lower than the region where a higher mode is generated. CONSTITUTION:Three square gratings 6 are arrayed in parallel at intervals l1 and l2, respectively. Resonance points characteristics to respective gratings are equally set to f1 and then when the three-grating constitution is employed, f1 is a perfect transmission point. The avoid a higher mode region, f1 should be a little bit higher than the upper limit of an in-use passing band. Further, selecting acuity values Q1, Q2 and Q3 of resonance and element intervals l1 and l2 properly provides two resonance points and then those two resonance points should have frequencies lower than f1 so as to enter into the higher mode region.
