Abstract

PURPOSE:To make stable the contact state of tape on the head and the running of tape, by providing the means guiding magnetic tape through adsorption incorporatedly with the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head assembly 10 is formed at both sides of recording/reproducing or erasing magnetic head 11 by closely fixing the adsorption type tape guides 12, 13. Further, the upper and lower ridges of the magnetic tape 14 are guided with the upper and lower flanges 12a-1-13a-2, and it is run in contact with the head 11 between both adsorption type tape guides 12, 13 with being adsorbed to the vertical adsorption contact surfaces 12a-3 and 13a-3. Since the tape 14 is guided while being a sorbed to the adsorption guide means, the contact of the tape 14 on the head 11 can be made stable and the running of the tape is also made stable.
