Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of vent-up by a method wherein a stopper for controlling the opening of a vent hole of the injection molding machine is provided, the hole is opened during the rotation of a screw and is closed when the screw is not rotated. CONSTITUTION:In the vent type injection molding machine, the screw 1, 12 has a supplying section 2, a metering section 3, a vent section 5 and the second metering section 6, while a cylinder 11 is provided with the vent hole 8 at its part corresponding to the vent section 5 of the screw 1, 12. In the said machine, a vent chamber 14 capable of being maintained in an airtight condition is provided at the outside wall of the cylinder 11 on the front side of the hole 8, the chamber 14 is provided with a conduit 21 communicated with a suction source 20 such as a vacuum pump, and the stopper 19 driven by a pneumatic cylinder-piston assembly 18 and fitted into the hole 13 to stop up the latter 13 is provided. The vent hole 13 is opened during the rotation of the screw 1, 12, and is closed by fitting the stopper 19 into the hole 13 when the screw is not rotated.
