Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve productivity and shock-resisting performance of a balance weight, by fixing a balance weight to a crank shaft by the aid of an outwardly projected beading portion of the crank shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A balance weight 2 is fixed to a crank shaft 1 by fitting the balance weight 2 into the crank shaft 1 and then forming an outwardly projected beading portion 11 on the surface of crank shaft 1. With such an arrangement, fixing of the balance weight 2 to the crank shaft 1 can be accomplished by a single operation of press. Therefore, it is enabled to enhanced productivity and to improve shock-resisting performance of the balance weight.
