Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the linearlity of a flow-output characteristic by applying a magnetic field at a right angle with a flow direction in a tubular path where an electroconductive fluid flows and adding output signals from plural pairs of electrodes provided along the flow direction. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic field is applied to magnetic field generation devices 2, 2' at a right angle with a tubular path 1 where an electromagnetic fluid flows. An electromotive force from six pairs of electrodes 3a-3f provided along a flow direction inside the tubular path is input to an adder to seek a total sum so that an output proportional to a flow is made. In this manner, it is possible to improve the linearity of a flow-output characteristic.
