Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a multiplied voltage of less ripple, by providing two capacitor groups on AC input side of two bridge-type full-wave rectification circuits. CONSTITUTION:The first phase bridge-type full-wave rectification circuit 4, which is composed of at least four (or six) rectification elements D1-D6, and the second phase bridge-type full-wave rectification circuit 5, which consists of D7 through D12, are provided, and capacitors C1-C3 and C4-C6 are provided on their respective AC input sides. When an AC power source line is connected to input terminals 1-3, E volt is obtained by the first phase bridge 4 and another E volt is obtained by the second phase bridge 5, and therefore, a double voltage of 2E volt can be obtained by these two bridges. It is possible, by doing so, to obtain a double voltage without using transformer, and besides, since the voltage doubling is done by full-wave rectification, occurrence of ripple can be minimized.
