Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable aligning of a copied sheet and a new original to be accomplished accurately and easily by superposedly projecting the images of the original on an original platen and a copied sheet onto a monitor screen by using a predetermined optical system, and visually observing these images. CONSTITUTION:The 1st original is placed on an original platen 1, and its image is projected into a monitor screen 15 by way of an original monitor light source 12, a mirror 13, a lens 24, etc. If a required part is moved to a predetermined position and is copied while viewing this image, only the required part is copied by an erasing means 8. This copy is placed on a copied sheet holding platen 20 by way of a feed change-over means 19 and is projected onto the screen 15 by way of a light source 21, a lens 22, and a half mirror 14. Next, the 2nd original is placed on the platen 1 and its image is projected on the screen 15 in superposition on the image of the copied sheet in the same manner as that described above. Thereby, the alignment of the copied sheet and the new original are accomplished accurately and easily.
