Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a leakage magnetic flux by generating magnetic fluxes around the primary winding and secondary winding as positive-phase magnetic fluxes by supplying single-phase power from two terminals of a triangular winding, by short-circuiting two terminals of a star winding, and by short-circuiting the other one terminal and a neutral terminal. CONSTITUTION:As an exciting current is supplied to primary winding 2 from single-phase power source 4, the current of capacitor 6 for phase advance is superposed and supplied to primary cable 3a and current I1 flows through the coil between terminals V and W of primary winding 2 to flow current I2 through the coil extending terminals V, U and W in sequence. The current flowing through feeding cable 3b is measured by current transformer 5 and adjustments are so made that the sum of currents I1 and I2 will be equal to the rated current of winding 2. With regard to winding 3, I3 flows through the closed circuit of neutral point (o), and terminals (v) and (w), and short-circuit current I4 also flows through the closed circuit of neutral point (o), neutral terminal o-1 and terminal (u) as shown in the figure. Thus, the directions of currents flowing through respective windings are set in the direction where a positive-phase magnetic flux is generated, thereby reducing a leakage magnetic flux.
