Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrical contact material for a minute current region having stable contact resistance over a long term and not causing an inseparable trouble due to sticking by sintering Fe and a specified amoung of Ni, Ag and Cu.
CONSTITUTION: A sintered body having a composition consisting of 10W40% Ni, 3W20% Ag, 5W20% Cu and the balance Fe is produced and formed into a wire rod of 1mmϕ by forging and wire drawing. An electrical contact material for a ≤10mA minute current region used in a measuring instrument, etc. is manufactured from this wire rod. The surfaces of contacts are preferably plated with Au. This electrical contact material undergoes no changes in the contact resistance over a long term and does not cause inseparable trouble due to sticking.
