EXAMPLE: AcCH2CH2(n-C6H13)SiCl2.
USE: A monomer of polysiloxane for improving the properties of silicone oil varnish which is used for an electrically insulating material, lubricant, water repellent, coating compound, releasing agent, etc., or a synthetic intermediate for novel organic silicon compound.
PROCESS: Dichlorosilane and 3W20C α-olefin compound is subjeted to the first step reaction in the presence of a complex catalyst of homogeneous system shown by the formula M'Xn, to give an alkyldichlorosilane. This compound and an ethylene- substituted compound shown by the formula R3HC=CH2 (R3 is CH3COOCH2-, etc.) are subjected to the second step reaction in the presence of a complex salt of homogeneous system shown by the formula M"Xn (RR°3)m or chloroplatinic acid, to give a compound shown by the formula.
