Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of a printing stylus driving apparatus which drives a printing stylus by means of an armature reciprocated by a magnetic force, by applying a magnetic driving force so as to compensate for the nonequilibrium of the inertia load on the armature. CONSTITUTION:An armature 1 wound with a solenoid 3 and having a printing stylus 15 secured to the tip end of its arm 16 is supported pivotably about support members 4 an 4, while by using a permanent magnet 12 a magnetic circuit is formed between the first and second yokes 5 and 7 through the armature 1, to constitute a printing stylus driving unit 8. Said apparatus performs printing by pivoting the armature 1 (at the same time the printing stylus 15 appears and disappears) by energizing the solenoid 3 in the foward and reverse directions. In this case, by making the areas of the pole-faces 5a and 7a of the first and second yokes 5 and 7 on the side of the printing stylus 15 larger than those of the pole-faces 5b and 7b on the remoter side from the printing stylus 15, a larger magnetic driving force is applied to the part of the armature 1 on the side of the printing stylus 15 in order to compensate for the nonequilibrium of the inertia load, so that the pivoting of the armature 1 is stabilized.
