Abstract
PURPOSE: A marking composition with excellent adhesion, water resistance, weatherability, heat resistance and cold resistance, comprising a pigment, a solvent and an ethylene-propylene copolymer as a finder.
CONSTITUTION: An ethylene-propylene copolymer of Mooney viscosity about 35W 100ML1+4 at 100°C is kneaded with about 20W300vol% coloring pigment (e.g., titania, a monoazo lake pigment) and/or fluorescent pigment (e.g., a composition comprising melamine-p-toluenesulfonamide cocondensate and a fluorescent dye), and a reguired amt. of a solvent, to abtain a marking composition. It is possible to easily form a film with excellent physical properties by applying said composition a rubber product with a brush, etc. and drying it at a temp. from normal temp. to 50°C.
