Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the wear-proof and corrosion resistance of the impeller by a method wherein a self-fusing alloy powder in Ni-Cr system, Co-Cr-Ni-W system containing Si, B and C, or further the self-fusing alloy powder added by WC is fusion-cladded and the cladding layer is fusion-retreated.
CONSTITUTION: A shot blast working is applied extending over a surface of a blade 3 and a surface near a corner formed between the blade 3 and a main plate 1, a side plate 2 in the blade 3, and the main plate 1 and the side plate 2 supporting the blade 3 to secure the surfaces to be made clean and rough, the self-fusing alloy powder being flame-sprayed to form the cladding 5. The cladding 5 is heat-fused at about 1,000W1,100°C of more than an alloy fusing point and completely metallurgically close-attached and integrated with a base metal. The self-fusing alloy is that of the Ni-Cr system, Co-Cr-Ni-W system or further that which is added by WC.
