Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a composition enabled to prevent splashing and sticking of the weld metal effectively, by using specific polyhydric alcohols, saccharides, amines, and oligomers and polymers of specific lactams as effective components. CONSTITUTION:Polyhydric alcohols, saccharides, and amines such as glycerol and mannitol indicated by formula I (R1 and R2 are hydrogen atoms or organic residues) and oligomers and polymers of lactams such as N-vinyl-beta-propiolactam indicated by formula II (R3 and R4 are hydrogen atoms or organic residues) are used as effective components, and the inorganic pigment, the synthetic resin, the surface active agent, and so on are added as required. This composite is dissolved in a proper inert solvent and is applied uniformly onto parts around weld positions of the metal surface. This composite shows an effect of preventing a superior sputter adhesion in a welding without the damage of weldability.
