Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition having improved processing characteristics, capable of forming a cured material having improved rubber elasticity, weather resistance, and heat resistance, comprising a hydrogenated material having a specific hydrogenation ratio obtained by hydrogenating a specified low-molecular-weight isoprene type rubber (its modified rubber) and a crosslinking agent.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A hydrogenated material having a hydrogenation ratio 20W 100% obtained by hydrogenating a low-molecular-weight isoprene type rubber having a molecular weight 7,000W100,000 (preferably isoprene signal polymer rubber, isoprene-butadiene copolymer rubber, having a 1, 4 bond amount not less than 70%), or its modified rubber (modified low-molecualr-weight isoprene rubber obtained by adding not more than 15mol% based on low-molecular-weight rubber monomer maleic anhydride and/or its derivative to the isoprene rubber, or by epoxidizing 30% double bonds in the low-molecular-weight rubber) is blended with preferably 0.5W10pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. rubber component of a crosslinking agnet (e.g., a vulcanizing agent for rubber, epoxy compound, etc.), to give the desired composition.
USE: A sealing material and coating material.
