Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the thermal printing head so that heating bodies are kept in no contact with each other but the distance between them is decreased by a method wherein plural projected insulating layers are provided on the surface of an insulating base and the spaces between these insulating layers are printed and buried by resistable paste for the heating body. CONSTITUTION:A common terminal 12 and plural individual terminals 13 are provided on the surface of an insulating base 11 such as ceramics etc. Insulating paste is printed between the individual terminals 13 to form projected insulating layers 14. Then, resistable paste for the heating body is printed between the insulating layers 14 to form a heating body 15. The heating body 15 is printed so that the spaces between the contiguous insulating layers are buried thoroughly. In order to apply the electric current to this heating body 15, the heating body 15 is formed to connect the common terminal 12 and each individual terminal 13. In this printing, since the insulating layer 14 acts as partition wall, the resistable paste is buried by its fluidity securely between the insulating layers 14 and printed in the same shape as the space partitioned by the insulating layers 14.
