PURPOSE:To prevent a misprint or a faulty operation for the electronic machinery, by providing an arithmetic part driving battery, a printer driving battery plus a detecting part that detects the electric capacity of each battery and then inhibiting the operation of the printer with the detection signal supplied from the detecting part. CONSTITUTION:An electronic calculator with a handy printer is controlled so as to secure an output of 1 for the detector S1 in case the electric capacity of the battery B2 is sufficient to drive a printer P and the battery B1 that drives the arithmetic part C is consumed to be less than the working voltage of the part C. The output of the detector S1 lights up the display element L1 of the display device LC to give a warning to the consumption of the battery B1, and at the same time inhibits the printer controlling signal from the part C that is supplied to the driving circuit part D to inhibit the operation of the printer P. The detecting part S2 detects the capacity drop of the battery B2 when the battery B1 has sufficient capacity with the battery B2 consumed, respectively. Then the element L2 is lighted up by the detection signal to produce an alarm. At the same time, the detection signal is sent to the circuit part D via the gate G1 to inhibit the operation of the printer P.
