CONSTITUTION:Mirror is turned from position 23 to position 24 so as to imagewise expose photosensitive drum 30 via lens 25 to light reflected from original 20 scanned in the case of forward motion, and mirror is turned to position 23 in backward motion to expose drum 29 via lens 26, thus permitting the step of backward motion of the optical system not used so far for image formation to be used for imagewise exposure.
