Abstract
PURPOSE:To make metal flow uniform to produce a clad steel having no fluctuation of clad ratio, by cooling forcedly the edge part of a material to be rolled in the rolling mill incoming side, in hot rolling of an internally chilled clad steel. CONSTITUTION:For hot rolling of the internally chilled clad steel, the nozzle or the like is used to cool forcedly the edge part, the TOP, and the BOT of the material to be rolled in the roughly rolling mill incoming side or the finishing rolling mill incoming side for the purpose of controlling the temperature distribution. This cooling temperature is so selected the metal flow is made uniform according to the distribution of the change resistance at the rolling time. By this method, fluctuation of the clad ratio and lowering of the rolling yield of the clad steel are prevented to obtain the clad steel product of a fixed clad ratio without change of the quality.
